About Me

LinkedInPhoto

Born and raised in Brighton, UK, I’ve been passionate about games for as long as I can remember. From playing my first games on the PS1 and Dreamcast to creating a simple 2D platformer with a friend at the age of 11, my fascination with interactive worlds has been a constant.

After school, I began building my own fantasy world, which evolved into a novel and accompanying artwork, using tools like GIMP and Photoshop. In 2015, I expanded my skill set by discovering Unreal Engine and Blender, diving into a variety of personal projects, including a collaboration with that same childhood friend.

Driven by a deep passion for world-building and storytelling, I’m pursuing a career in Game Development. Currently, I’m studying Computer Science for Games at the University of Brighton, honing my skills and building a strong foundation in the field.

Level Designer

I designed this prototype for Peter while working with him on Veil: Alter Unknown.
This linear 3D platforming challenge takes players through a dangerous lava tube, requiring precise movement to avoid falling into the encapsulating lava. Players use a grappling hook to swing between anchor points and glide to keep momentum, with platforms available for quick recovery if they fall. The level design tests agility and timing, creating a thrilling experience of skillfully navigating a hazardous environment while narrowly escaping the dangers of molten lava.

Arctic-Themed Level Blockout

This level blockout, created in Unreal Engine 4, features an arctic environment crafted using prebuilt assets, which were organically transformed to quickly get a desired shape.

The gameplay focuses on leveraging the unique physics of an arctic setting, incorporating mechanics like sliding on icy surfaces, navigating strong wind currents (including wind tunnels and updrafts), and interacting with dynamic ice elements. Players can expect to encounter tilting and flipping icebergs, as well as trigger avalanches to enhance the challenge and immersion.

3D Artist

During the 2022 Global Game Jam in Brighton, I spent two intense days creating a variety of low-poly assets for a game called Blood Lust, themed around duality, where players take on the role of a vampire in a quaint village. My contributions included a diverse set of props, ranging from a sword and bucket to more elaborate structures like a well, a bridge, and even a church with gravestones. I also crafted trees and vegetation to bring the setting to life. The aesthetic of the game can be best described as "Gothic Rural," evoking the sombre and mysterious atmosphere of an old-world village with simple stonework, shadowy graveyards, and a distinctly vampiric charm—perfect for the lurking vampire protagonist.
